In over 25 years’ time, Jim has amassed experience that is both broad and deep. He started out in industrial engineering, putting his skills to work in manufacturing.

He established a pattern early on of mastering one discipline and then moving on to tackle the next. Over the years he developed expertise in manufacturing management; materials management; project scheduling; software engineering—and many other areas.

Eventually Ross Systems spotted his talent and brought him on board. But Jim knew he’d eventually want to bring his own vision to life, and Encompass Solutions was born.

Another Ross Systems alumni, Sonia has developed a multifaceted compendium of expertise, acquired in more than a decade of taking on a series of new challenges. 

She began in manufacturing, working on an ERP implementation. From there she became proficient in small business operations, including the development of a standard implementation methodology. As she has grown to take on ever more complex projects—including many for large, multi-national companies—Sonia has (at last count) worked on over 30 implementations in a cross-section of process industries. She is particularly knowledgeable in enterprise-wide integration and the management and support of heavily customized applications.

Jason Claggett has been working with technical aspects of Vista/Vantage since 2003 and is experienced with it through its current ERP 10 version. 

He holds a BS/BA in Computer Science and Communications. During this time he has helped transform many company networks into state-of-the-art technology centers. Jason has also engineered many complex hardware solutions for various customers throughout the country.

He is experienced with most recent versions of Microsoft Windows Server technology, network infrastructure design/planning as well as hardware implementation.

Jason is considered one of the industry experts when it comes to the technical aspects of Epicor software. He has worked with legacy versions of the Epicor product, Advanced Print Management (APM), and performs conversions from earlier versions to the new ERP 10 when the customer of older transactional data requires the availability.

• Performed many number of Vista/Vantage, Epicor 9.0x, and ERP 10 installs over the last 10 years on both SQL Server and Progress databases
• He has successfully engaged, implemented and trained numerous customers for the last 7 years on how to utilize APM to better manage document delivery to the end user.
• Managed or migrated Windows Servers (2003 through current version)
• Over 10 years of experience working with Epicor products.
• Setup wireless infrastructure for use with the Handheld MES module
• Installed or configured mobile handheld computer solutions including Motorola and Intermec products.
• Worked with terminal server and thin client technology since its infancy in 1999.
• Installed and configured MES stations for use in shop floor data collection areas.
• Involved in the setup of various types of barcode scanning projects to improve employee accuracy.
• Assisted companies find process improvements by automating document delivery for the last 7 years.
• Managed data center operations containing over 50 servers and 3000 end users scattered throughout the United States.
• PArticipated in research and development group at MasterCard International and served on the Y2K committee.
• Certified Microsoft Professional (MCP) and holds multiple Cisco certifications.

He has a very deep understanding of the Epicor business objects that can be leveraged in workflows, embedded customizations, and BPMs for customizations, stand-alone applications, and integrations. He also has SDK experience and has assisted Epicor with building core product using the native software development kit used in-house.

Dave has been supporting Epicor EDI implementations since 2007 and has a full understanding of both the standard transactions supported by the Epicor product, and due to his technical background has assisted with multiple non-standard transactions that require custom solutions to be built for unique industries. Dave also manages our internal development resources and high profile technical projects, and, as such, has had extensive experience managing Epicor projects over the last five years.

• Over 13 years on the technical side of various ERP systems so he is very comfortable with differing manufacturing industry requirements across a wide range of vertical markets.
• Managed remote teams in a global environment for several years. Projects have ranged from customizing around gaps identified during Epicor implementations on very tight schedules, EDI implementations with standard and non standard transactions, full vertical builds, and new module builds.
• Built literally hundreds of trackers based off an assortment of BAQs, across all the functional areas of Vantage so familiar with all the tables in play. Built everything from a bin tracker up to an executive summary dashboard of the plant with full publish and subscribe integration.
• Expert progress programmer, leveraging this to implement many BPMs in all functional areas of the system. For example, built a custom Rebate System from the ground up with BPMs and super-procedures using the 4GL Progress language as the back end and embedded customizations as the front end.
• Understands the importance of using BPM/BAM to run logic server-side such that it is universally run by clients, ESC and other third party tools.
• Familiar with auto print rules for APM or EDI as required.
• Deep Crystal forms experience; comfortable modifying existing Epicor reports or using the BAQ Report Designer to create custom Crystal solutions for Epicor as required.
• Programming languages include all those required to develop for Epicor, including Openedge Progress, VB.net and C#.
• Completed training on and extensively worked with the Epicor SDK kit.
