Epicor Mfg Wireless Warehouse is the next-generation handheld application that is completely integrated with Kinetic. It offers a modern, intuitive user interface for warehouse and distribution functions.

Epicor Mfg Wireless Warehouse optimizes workflow for fast and accurate scanning, improves time to process transactions, increases accuracy, and reduces errors. It is compatible with the latest scanning devices running on Android® 6.0.1 or higher from Honeywell® and Zebra®. Simply download the application from the Google Play™ store into your device and start using it with minimal setup.

The only pre-requisites that exist for current and prospective customers to leverage Epicor Mfg Wireless Warehouse is an implemented Epicor® ERP 10.2.400 system or higher

Receiving

Provides complete functionality to process an inbound container or purchase order, as well as intercompany and transfer order receipts. It provides users with effective and efficient serial and lot processing and multiple UOM scanning. Users can search for all open POs for a part by scanning the barcode of the part.

Material Management

Provides core warehousing functions allowing users to initiate adjustments and movements from the warehouse floor. Offers an increased efficiency with cycle counts and stock takes. Enables efficient entry with automated workflows triggered by scan events.

Material Queue

Users can efficiently pick items assigned to their queue, grab items from the available queue, or return items to the queue. Users can select an outbound order and select all material queue transactions related to the order, to the users’ queue. Advanced sort and filter functionality allows users to save to a named query and dynamically add it to the sub-menu. Unpicking sales or transfer orders functionality is also included.

Shipping

Scan pick validation option included. Process outbound shipments direct from the device. Functions include creating Master Packs and standard Pick Lists for customers not licensed for Advanced Material Management (AMM).

Trackers

Trackers help the shop/warehouse users in completing their daily routine.

Custom Notifications (Change Data Capture (CDC) and BPM)

Greater responsiveness in the business workflow can be more easily achieved with instant notifications guiding your processes. To offer more opportunities to build these notifications into your processes, Collaborate lets users create custom notification rules. This is achieved with the Change Data Capture (CDC) management solution.

Additionally, users can design a Business Process Management (BPM) workflow to post custom notifications in a Collaborate message stream through a new Notify Collaborate action. Users can leverage Data Directives, Method Directives, and Epicor Functions to create workflows that include the Notify Collaborate actions and the action that triggers them.

Operational Efficiency from IoT Notifications

Boosting operational oversight to deliver great performance with Epicor IoT is easier in the latest release as users can view IoT notifications within Collaborate message streams. Users can configure IoT-based notifications via BPM and feed them into Collaborate. Instant Answers with Epicor Virtual Agent (EVA)

EVA helps users automate mundane tasks such as looking up a contact or inventory information-all she needs is a simple text command. The experience and the skills supported are consistent with what is offered in the EVA mobile app.

File Sharing Support

Collaborate users can share files easily, selecting their preferred choice of cloud file storage system. Attaching files in the feeds and conversations speeds up teamwork in any company, and the attachment is saved in the file storage system.

Collaborate integrates with multiple cloud storage providers such as Google Drive® or Dropbox®. Epicor ECM (Enterprise Content Management) is also an option for Collaborate file storage, no matter whether Epicor ECM is Cloud or On-Premises.

Actionable EDD Metrics Drive Improved Productivity

More easily describe business challenges with EDD metrics in Collaborate. Users can leverage an EDD widget to snag and share EDD metrics, including comments that drive actions. New levels of productivity can result when metrics are shared and actioned as exceptions occur. Any key metric can be shared from sales, finance, or operations.

Attribute Sets

Easily set up and maintain sets of attributes across types of inventory to ease implementation and ongoing management of inventory dimensions. Attribute sets can be automatically or manually assigned to products in Quote Entry, Sales Order Entry, Purchase Order Entry, and Receipt Entry.

Replenishment by Attribute

Specify at the bin level replenishment goals for each attribute to help ensure the on-hand availability of inventory. MRP then builds purchase suggestions to help ensure the procurement of needed inventory.

MRP Planning with Attributes

Engineered products can be assigned specific attributes for semi-finished or finished goods. This is useful when applying value-added services. A bill of material for engineered products likewise can leverage materials with attributes. MRP accurately automates production based on demand and forecasts, ensuring material requirements with attributes are procured to meet the need.

Dual Units of Measure

Transact throughout ERP in two units of measure at the same time. Inventory Stock Status will demonstrate inventory availability by attribute in both units of measure. An example would be feet and pounds.

For Flex Option #1 customers, your Pilot system, Education environment, and additional environments will be unavailable while Epicor performs your upgrade to 2021.2.7, but don’t worry—your Production system will not be affected by the new release. Once it is complete, log in to your Pilot system (and other environments) to start exploring what’s new.

Week of January 31, 2022

Flex Option #2 customers: it’s your upgrade weekend!​ While Epicor upgrades your Production system to Kinetic 2021.2.11, your system will be unavailable for several hours during this time. ​

How to Prepare

Epicor will upgrade your Pilot system and any additional environments seven weeks before Production for customers on cadence. This will provide an opportunity to explore the functionality updates in 2021.2 without affecting your Production system.

As a best practice, please use this time to review and make any necessary changes to your Unique Business Components (UBCs)—custom reports, BAQs, BPMs, User Interface customizations, etc.—to ensure everything continues to operate as expected. There will be more information regarding sample test plans and more that will be made available to you on EpicWeb Documentation.

Flexing Your Kinetic 2021.2 Upgrade

Subscribers to the Epicor Public Cloud Flex Option can follow the same schedule, but you have the option to defer your upgrade to Kinetic release 2021.2. Below are the two date options for your flex upgrade. Please note the deferred upgrades continue to have the standard four weeks to test. If you are a Premium Flex Test subscriber, please communicate your preferences by the same deadline and process below.

Pilot upgrade dates will be communicated closer to the date.
If you choose to defer, you must submit an EpicCare ticket by Friday, September 10 with your selected upgrade date (Option 1 or Option 2), and Epicor will send you a personalized confirmation with your instructions. Epicor must receive your deferral no later than Friday, September 10. If you do not choose to defer, Epicor will keep you on cadence and automatically upgrade your Production system in October 2021.

Note: If you choose to defer your upgrade, you will not receive any 2021.2 updates after the 2021.1 upgrade. Epicor only hosts the upgrade webinars on September 1 & 2, but replays are accessible at any time afterward as documentation on EpicWeb. If you defer, you are strongly encouraged to either attend or watch the replay so you are aware of the upgrade process.
